The University of Helsinki, Stanford University, and Beijing Normal University are working together to change the global learning crisis into an opportunity to improve learning quality, both locally and globally.
Business input is strategically important, and mediaX is hosting a one-day international workshop bringing together business and academic thought leaders to identify business opportunities in an emerging agenda of research on artificial intelligence and big data for learning and education.
Discussions will focus on generating questions and applying insights from the F-S-B triangle initiative in order to advance the equity and quality of learning, by developing AI tools and methods for learning and education through collaboration with industry:
*Modeling learners’ skills based on data mining and learning analytics for developing personal learning paths and adaptive learning systems.
*Creating intelligent tutoring and new evaluation methods for supporting learners and teachers in different learning contexts.
*Developing intelligent analytical methods for modeling complex and large-scale educational data storage for policy-makers and educational providers, ensuring high quality education for all.
Finland has a world class reputation in providing high-level education for its residents. The University of Helsinki is a spearhead in teacher education with a strong emphasis in personalized learning and support.
Stanford University is known for cutting-edge research in education and learning sciences, with hubs such as H-STAR and the Lytics Lab. Stanford University, located in the heart of Silicon Valley, is renowned for creating new knowledge, engaging in cutting edge research, and developing horizon insights.
Beijing Normal University (BNU) is a leading Chinese university in the field of education. BNU’s Advanced Innovation Center for Future Education and Artificial Intelligence Lab is developing research that provides intelligent and personalized teaching services intended to revolutionize how teachers teach and learners learn.
