mediaX hosts Special Pre-Release Screening of Racing Extinction
The groundbreaking film “Racing Extinction” will be shown at Stanford University before it’s officially released.
Racing Extinction features a team of artists and activists on an undercover operation to expose the hidden world of endangered species and the race to protect them against mass extinction. The team travels the world to infiltrate some of the world’s most dangerous black markets. Using high-tech equipment and tactics, they expose the link between carbon emissions and species extinction.
Director Louie Psihoyos has crafted an ambitious mission to clearly and artfully pull into focus our impact on the planet, while inspiring us all to embrace the solutions that will ensure a thriving, biodiverse world for future generations.
The screening event is on Monday May 4th in Cubberley Auditorium and will begin at 4pm.
At the end of the screening Director Louie Psihoyos and Co-Producer Gina Papabeis will be on hand to answer audience questions. The film will be aired by Discovery Channel this fall.
