Designing Residential Digital Cities for Humans
Digital city technologies have developed into a definable platform creating not just a data-driven social framework but a new way of architecting an urban environment. The new city architecture is now comprised of layers of connected data, smart infrastructure, and citizen networks with the potential to transform the quality of urban living for all of us.
This presentation explores a new way to think about how the digital city is likely to evolve showcasing current examples of design and implementation of systems in London, Seattle, and China. Mike also explores the human ramifications including how the social network will evolve to include neighborhoods, interest groups, and city government.
