Elizabeth Arredondo is a writer focused on creating compelling characters for television and interactive media. After earning her MFA from University of Southern California’s Writing for Screen & Television program, Elizabeth was selected for NBC’s Writers on the Verge program. Along with independent projects, she wrote for Cold Case on CBS, and most recently for Montress for HBO Max. In the realm of artificial intelligence, Elizabeth created the personality, backstory, and conversational voice for Catalia Health’s Mabu, a robotic healthcare coach. Elizabeth further explored the intersection of character creation and artificial intelligence as a Visiting Scholar at mediaX where she developed and moderated a series of panel discussions centered around creating interactions between AI personalities and users. Elizabeth has lectured and led workshops on AI personalities for scholars and industry professionals.
