Fox Entertainment Group joins Media X

February 22, 2006. Fox Entertainment Group is the latest major company to join Media X.

The company, a subsidiary of Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation, is one of the largest entertainment conglomerates in the world. Fox Entertainment produces, develops, and distributes motion pictures (X-Men: The Last Stand) and television shows (24, The Simpsons, American Idol) through its various filmed entertainment operations. It also owns the FOX Broadcasting Company, which operates 35 TV stations across the US, 34% of DIRECTV parent The DIRECTV Group, and FOX Cable Networks (including FX). In addition, the company owns FOX Sports Net, which has interests in regional cable sports channels.
