Orchestrating Change in Innovation Ecosystems

Open data can be freely used by anybody for various purposes without limitations, for free and often in electronic form.

Opening data creates possibilities for:

*New business activity and innovative services
*Democracy and citizen participation
*More effective administration
*Education and research

This event will mainly focus on opening public sector information, but other actors in the society are also encouraged to open their data resources. When making data available, it is important to comply with data protection rules and other restrictions imposed by law.

There will be a set of sessions examining open information from various angles based on the following themes:

*Democracy, participation and crowdsourcing
*Government information reserves and how to benefit from them, business information
