Intelligent Narratives: the Stories We Tell Ourselves through Digital Media

Interactive media and games increasingly pervade and shape our society. In addition to their dominant roles in entertainment, video games play growing roles in education, arts, science and health. This seminar series brings together a diverse set of experts to provide interdisciplinary perspectives on these media regarding their history, technologies, scholarly research, industry, artistic value and potential future.

Sherol Chen

Sherol Chen, Intelligent Narratives: the Stories We Tell Ourselves through Digital Media. Sherol is a Computer Science PhD Candidate at the University of California Santa Cruz. She researches the use of Artificial Intelligence in expanding the possibilities of storytelling in video games. In addition to having a crush on Super Mario, she fell in love with video games at the age of 5 and has since developed both commercially and for fun.
